The village of Castronuño is located in the southwest of the province of Valladolid, on the left bank of the River Duero, and covers a surface area of 125.70 km2, with an average altitude of 700 m.

It is bounded to the north by the villages of San Román de Hornija, Pedrosa del Rey and Torrecilla de la Abadesa; to the south by the villages of Vadillo de Guareña and Alaejos; to the east by the municipalities of Pollos and Siete Iglesias de Trabancos; and to the west and already in the province of Zamora, by the municipalities of Toro, Villanueva del Puente, and La Bóveda de Toro.

The main nucleus of population is Villa de Castronuño, which develops supported in its southwest side in the regional road 112 of Alaejos to Toro, between the Kilometers 10 and 11, and in its north side in the River Duero of which it rises on a strong escarpment.
