Ainhoa Marín is Senior Analyst at the Elcano Royal Institute and Lecturer in Applied Economics at Universidad Complutense de Madrid. She has a PhD in Economics and has worked for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. She is a member of the African Studies Group (GEA) of the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and teaches regularly for postgraduate degrees on African issues. She has participated in research and consultancy projects and has published work for Official Institutions and Civil Society Organisations such as the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation or Casa África, among other.
